When you search for Manali tour packages on the internet, many times you see prices that leave your eyes wide open in disbelief. A Manali tour for ₹4,000 or ₹5,000? Seeing that, you feel like, "Brother, there couldn't possibly be a better deal in life—let's call them directly and lock the trip!" But hold on for a second. The market is completely flooded with these attractive and misleading advertisements. Now, it's not like the price they write is technically false on paper; technically they are correct, but nobody tells you the real hidden conditions behind that cheap package over the phone beforehand.

Let me explain a basic ground reality to you: look, if you are coming to Manali by semi-sleeper bus, you will find tickets for ₹800 as well as ₹3,000. It's the exact same story with hotels—you will find rooms for ₹1,000 and luxury properties for ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 too. The same goes for cars and cabs: one driver will be polite and show you around peacefully at your own pace, while another will always be in a rush. So every agency, including us, can arrange a tour for you in literally any budget—it all depends on the services, such as the driver, the hotel location and balcony view, how many items are included in breakfast and dinner, whether non-veg is served or not, and what the overall food quality is like.

So my sincere request to you is: avoid chasing only the lowest price tag! Tell your agent everything clearly and transparently, and then book a package according to your genuine interests.

For instance, this package of ours includes a 3-day plan for Manali covering your hotel stay, food, and sightseeing. The price might look very low to you as well, but in this plan:

• Delhi to Manali round-trip Volvo bus tickets are not added.

• Rohtang Pass and Sissu are also not included; this basic tour is only up to Solang Valley, though it covers all remaining sightseeing points whether it's Kullu Valley, Paragliding, or the River Rafting point.

And that is the bitter truth of this industry: nowadays, most operators sell customers a trip only up to Solang Valley. Their helplessness is that tourists look at the shining, cheap 'price tag' on the screen before checking the details of the itinerary. If we try to be overly honest and quote a package price with everything included upfront, most guests don't even bother talking!

For example, in this package, if we add Rohtang Pass, the price jumps from ₹3,500 to ₹5,500, and it won't catch your eye.

But the plain truth is that if Solang Valley doesn't have snow, you won't like it at all annd Rohtang Pass and Sissu aren't places you can just skip—if you come to Manali and don't visit Rohtang and Sissu, your trip to Manali is just like eating Shahi Paneer without the paneer! NGT permits, the mood of the weather, and local union driver rates change on a daily basis. Roughly speaking, the union cab rate for Rohtang and Sissu remains between ₹3,000 to ₹5,000 for a 4-seater car.

Being locals and having driven on these hairpin bends ourselves, we know down to the millimeter where a guest genuinely feels happy and where their mood gets ruined. We personally go and check room cleanliness, balcony views, and food taste.

Now let's understand how you will explore in simple words: suppose on Friday night you board an AC Semi-Sleeper Volvo from Delhi (you will book the bus yourself—try to book one departing after 9:00 PM so that you reach Manali after 10:00 AM in the morning, making an early check-in at the hotel much easier) and open your eyes on Saturday morning in the fresh mountain air of Manali.

As soon as you step off at the bus stand, there's no need to rush. Head straight to our booked hotel, take a refreshing bath, have breakfast, and take a 1–2 hour power nap. Once your mind feels settled, step out in the afternoon to seek blessings at Hadimba Mata Temple—because in the mountains, both your vehicle and your luck run purely on God's grace! Take a peaceful walk in the giant cedar forest (Van Vihar) right behind the temple.

If you have kids along: put them on duty at the small amusement park near Hadimba—let them enjoy the swings and hand them real PUBG toy guns so they don't bother you.

If you are a couple or friends: skip the kids' drama and head straight toward Club House. Leave your car parked right there, because finding parking in the narrow lanes of Old Manali is virtually impossible. Walk up into Old Manali on foot, sit at a quiet riverside cafe listening to the rushing water below, and without worrying about any timetable, just relax, chat, and have fun—because a true holiday is one where your brain usage is zero.

As the sun begins to set, stroll along Manali Mall Road enjoying a softy ice cream, and then return to the hotel for a delicious dinner with a balcony mountain view before calling it a night.

The next morning, on the second day, have a heavy breakfast and set out. Today's biggest local tip is that you must take the traditional scenic route climbing via Gulaba and Marhi to reach Rohtang. Many times, we agents try to save fuel or money by taking you through the Atal Tunnel and bringing you back the same way. Don't do that—go via Gulaba and Marhi or return via that route; complete the full circular loop!

If you visit before June–July, you will find fantastic white snow at Rohtang Pass. As for paragliding—the thrill of leaping from the heights of Rohtang is truly next-level! Although with growing age and belly my own heart has gotten a bit timid, if you have the fearless courage of a 20–22-year-old running in your veins, do not miss this chance!

Crossing Rohtang, we descend directly into Sissu in Lahaul Valley. Eat steaming hot Maggi and momos at a roadside dhaba, enjoy the thrill of the over-river zipline, and if your legs still have youth and strength in them, definitely hike to Sissu Waterfall—it's a short trek, but an incredible place.

On the way back, click just 1–2 photos at the North and South portals of the Atal Tunnel. During the non-snow months, we will quietly bypass Solang Valley, because there is nothing there except dust and overpriced commercial crowds. Head straight back to the hotel in the evening and relax.

Now, on the third and final day, check out from the hotel and head toward Kullu Valley. Here, dive into the icy waters of the Beas River for thrilling white-water river rafting, or enjoy paragliding or a hot air balloon ride. Afterward, you can shop for world-famous Kullu shawls, pure mountain pulses, and organic dry fruits.

And if you want to explore my absolute favorite spot in Manali, you can trek to Jogini Waterfall—it gives you the exact feel of the waterfall mountain from the Baahubali movie! There are generally two ways to reach here: one is through Vashisht village, and the second is via Bahang (DGRE). The Vashisht route is slightly longer, but it's a nice trail with an easy gradient; however, there is a chance of losing your way, so make sure to ask locals for directions properly.

Note—first of all, forgive us, but the truth is that the taxi fare for Rohtang Pass and Sissu is not pre-included in this package. That is because NGT permits, weather conditions, and union driver rates fluctuate daily. Therefore, the cab accounting for Rohtang and Sissu is kept separate so that you get the exact, fair, and genuine rate prevailing on that particular day (roughly between ₹3,000 to ₹5,000 for a 4-seater car).
