सिर्फ 5 से 6 महीने का सीज़न: यह पूरा सर्किट साल में केवल 5 से 6 महीने (जून से अक्टूबर तक) ही खुला रहता है। सबसे भारी भीड़ या तो जून में होती है या फिर अक्टूबर की शुरुआत में। जुलाई और अगस्त के मानसून में पहाड़ों में लैंडस्लाइड और बारिश का भारी रिस्क रहता है, इसलिए सही मौसम चुनना बेहद ज़रूरी है।
लिमिटेड स्टे ऑप्शंस (खासकर चंद्रताल): इस पूरे आदिवासी इलाके में होटल्स और होमस्टे बहुत सीमित हैं, और चंद्रताल में तो सिर्फ गिने-चुने कैंप्स ही लगते हैं। अगर आप यह सोचकर बिना बुकिंग के निकलोगे कि "मौके पर पहुँचकर ही कमरा देख लेंगे," तो हो सकता है रात को माइनस डिग्री की ठंड में गाड़ी में सोना पड़े, या फिर कैंप वाले आपसे मुँह मांगे 10,000 से 15,000 रुपये वसूल लें! इसलिए पहले से परखा हुआ स्टे बुक करके ही निकलना चाहिए।

Traveling during the peak monsoon months of July and August brings heightened landslide risks, making proper seasonal timing essential.
Extremely Limited Stays (Especially Chandratal Lake): Across this remote tribal territory, accommodation options are very limited, and Chandratal features only a handful of seasonal eco-camps.
